Beginning 12 Aug 1861, this collection of over twenty letters chronicles the men of the Price family and their connections as the Civil War develops around Lincoln Co. (it was then Lawrence Co.), Miss., and the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where these men of the 7th Mississippi Infantry, Company B, are stationed. They are soon sent north to Tennessee to fight at Shiloh and then Corinth, Miss. The letters are transcribed and annotated. Images of the letters are included along with soldier records and biographical information for men mentioned in the letters. There is a section on all known Confederate soldiers who descended from Robert Price (Died 1803, SC), as well as soldiers who married into the Price family, along with their short biographies, information from their soldier records and pension applications, and genealogical material on each couple. Contains almost 300 images.
